Job Description: Hopper Consulting is seeking a motivated part-time student intern (15–20 hours per week) to support a business development client in Dayton, OH. The successful applicant will provide strategy and growth consulting for multiple government contracting firms. This role is ideal for a college senior who wants hands-on experience in the GovCon sector, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to GovCon clients for business development and growth.
- Conduct market research and compile data on federal contracting opportunities.
- Assist in preparing presentations, capture plans, and proposal materials.
- Support business development activities for multiple GovCon clients
- Participate in occasional virtual or in-person meetings during business hours.
- Provide administrative and analytical support to senior consultants.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have completed a minimum of 85-hours of college credits at an accredited university.
- College seniors preferred, ideally interested in business, consulting, or government contracting
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
- Capable of applying models and frameworks to help solve complex challenges
- Interest in government contracting, consulting, or business development.
- Must be in the Dayton, OH area.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Strong skills in presenting data visualizations and business infographics in PowerPoint
- Previous experience with business development or government contracting
Schedule and Work Environment:
- 15–20 hours per week (flexible, asynchronous work with occasional scheduled meetings).
- Schedule can be adjusted around school commitments.
- Primarily remote with some in-person collaboration in Dayton, OH as needed.

Pay and Benefits:
- $20.00 per hour
- $1,500 annually for professional development training (upon supervisor approval)
- 3% contribution to 401K, immediately vested
